CFAC provides financing of up to $150,000 to new and existing small and medium-sized businesses within the Alberni-Clayoquot region as a means of stimulating local economies.

How do I apply?

• Call or visit our office to discuss your needs with our Commercial Loans Officer.
• Obtain an application form at our office, or click here for a printable version.
• Submit your completed application form, together with your business plan, including financial projections for the next 12 months, and financial statements for the past 3 years if available. The signatures of all applicants will be required to process your application.
• Approval of your application rests with the CFAC Board, a group of community volunteers who meet approximately once every 3-4 weeks. You will be asked to present your business plan to the CFAC Board who determines the viability of the business and the benefit/impact to the local economy.
• If your business plan is approved, you will receive a Letter of Offer detailing the terms and conditions, interest rate and fees.
• Upon acceptance of the Offer, CFAC's Commercial Loans Officer and/or lawyers, notaries will prepare documentation for signature.
• Funds will be disbursed as required following execution of documents and payment of processing and legal fees.
